We are experiencing turbulent times in our nation – so many voices, perspectives, pointing fingers, shouting, noise, noise, noise … I find that for my own sanity, I have been practicing more benevolent detachment that I learned about from John Eldridge.
The enemy of progress is distraction – causing us to lose our focus on our vision. I have been much more selective about the voices I allow into my life. I have also appreciated more than ever the importance of my community that shares my vision, values and passion. This community includes my wife and four awesome children, my incredible team at Allied Physical Therapy, my church, St. Katherine Drexel, my business coach, Michael Hyatt, and YOU, my clients here at Your Medical Practice Mentor!
You all inspire me, encourage me, motivate me, and pick me up when I fall. If there is one thing I have learned, it is that community is crucial to living a fulfilled life of purpose. And a fulfilled life of purpose cannot be accomplished in isolation.
We need community now more than EVER!!!!
Every Wednesday, I participate in a weekly coaching call with my community of clients, and every week I am so inspired. We are committed to what I call the Core 4: Growth, Transformation, Clarity and Accountability. I want to encourage you to start something similar with your key leaders or your most important relationships.
First and foremost, we are punctual: We start promptly at 10 and at 11 a.m. each Wednesday.
The Core 4 Coaching Call
- (Growth) Leadership Pro Tip: Allowing for release vs. control.
- (Transformation) Wins: Share with the community to build momentum and celebrate success.
- (Clarity) Mindsweep: What is on your mind? What are your questions?
- (Accountability) The Big 3: What 3 goals do we have for the week that will get ueach of us closer to our vision?
As you lead and effectively scale your practice, you must let go of the granular day-to-day operations. Your job is to make less of these decisions. By consistently focusing on the Core 4, you will be able to lead your practice with a clear purpose, consistent values, and a compelling vision. By staying focused, you will release your team to create a community that is passionate and excited to grow!
Your team is craving clear. authentic leadership and a strong. supportive community. At a time such as this, you have the greatest opportunity to transform your team, your patients and your community!!!!! DO IT!!! IT WILL TRANSFORM YOU LIFE AND YOUR PRACTICE!!!!
