Creating a well-thought-out budget, developed with the input and approval of your leadership team, will set you up for success in the upcoming year.
Okay – confession time. Creating and sticking to a budget has not been one of my natural energizing talents as a practice owner. When my thoughts turned to the formulation of a budget, these are the thoughts that quickly followed:
After all, I lead with passion and charisma! I’m a champion who effectively communicates our mission and values. It works out great…. well… sort of.
Reframing my view of the budgeting process has made me realize that I have stumbled upon a winning combination:
Healthy Culture + Achieved Budget =
15 to 20% Consistent Profitable Growth
Healthy culture and budgetary success both require intentional discipline, focus and commitment. If you want to have a practice that is growing and thriving, you must be committed to this process.
Step 1. A mindset of success
Step 2. Suspend Disbelief
Step 3. Input
Step 4. DO NOT change
Step 5. Build rituals
The mind is powerful – either for success or failure.
As Henry Ford said; “If you think you can do a thing, or think you can’t do a thing, you’re right.”
The most powerful way to shape your mind is to write. I recommend writing what I call a Success Vision Budget Script.
Grateful to be on this journey with you,
